Michael Diamond comes to the company with twenty-five years of experience in the technology world, having been President and CEO of Minicom Data Corporation, one of Canada’s earliest and fastest growing vertical market software companies until its sale in 1995. Since that time, Michael has been heavily involved in a series of investments, and as a management consultant, primarily in the technology sector. He is also a Director of Whitecastle Investments Limited of Toronto, a private investment firm, as well as of Solidifi Inc., and on the Board of Advisors of several other technology firms. A lawyer, former teacher and graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, Michael also invests considerable time in the non-profit sector, and is currently Chair and/or Director of a number of national and international non-profit organizations.
James Kavanagh is an innovative entrepreneur who has earned a broad depth of experience and expertise across the real estate, energy and technology industries. A recognized leader, Deloitte named Mr. Kavanagh as one of the top 50 CEO’s of the Fastest Growing Technology Companies in the US on three separate occasions. In 1997, Mr. Kavanagh founded HCI Systems an award-winning technology company which became a leader in strategic asset management solutions. In 2005, it was acquired by a public utility company where he then served as its Chief Marketing Officer. In 2008, Mr. Kavanagh established 4tell to address the market need for a technology solution which could enable organizations to achieve their goals for “sustainability” while delivering improved bottom-line results. Mr. Kavanagh is a graduate of the renowned North Bennett Street School in Boston, MA. He also serves as a Board Member for several government committees and non-profit organizations.
Robert Metz has over twenty years of hands-on experience in the technology and marketing industries. In 1990, he was the founder and CEO of SDMS Corporation, one of Canada’s earliest and fastest growing vertically integrated direct marketing companies. He led the organization through three acquisitions and successfully grew the business until its divestiture in 1996. In 1997 he then founded Production Data Corporation, a data processing and direct marketing company, where he served as its President and then, most recently, in 2006 he founded Worldscout Corporation, a GPS telematics business, where he serves as a Director for the company. Mr. Metz has been involved in a series of investments, as well as an advisor, in various companies across the technology and marketing sectors.
David Posluns is Chairman and Managing Director of Cedarpoint Investments Inc., a private equity and alternative investments management firm. He is the co-founder of T4G Limited, an IT professional services firm with over 260 employees that builds customized solutions for industry-leading companies in both the United States and Canada. He has developed and financed Weston Road Self Storage Limited, Adelaide Self Storage Limited, and CaseFunding Inc., a specialty finance firm. He sits on the board of directors of Case Funding, Wishabi Inc., an online shopping technology company, and 4tell Solutions LLC, a real estate and energy management software firm. Mr. Posluns serves on the advisory committees of Newbury Ventures in San Francisco, California, Greenstone Venture Partners in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Delta Ventures in Herzliya, Israel. He currently is a member of the investment adviser committee of the Jewish Federation of Toronto Endowment Fund, and of the Baycrest Hospital Foundation. Mr. Posluns received his BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School in 1982, and his Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1984. Mr. Posluns is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Foundation program.
